Abbey Road & Paul's feet

The Beatles - 1969

The final album and the end of a legend. The album Let it be was released on 1970 after the band decided to break up, but this album was recorded in 1968 but thanks to discussions between McCartney and Lennon the album wasn't published until 1970. Abbey Road was the last album of the group recorded in a 1969 and in a  tense environment, the problems between The Beatles seemed to grow and the goodbye was unstoppable.

This album count with the famous cover, this cover of the Beatles crossing the street inspired many wild legends, one of the most shocking theories is the one who talks about the death on Paul McCartney. This theory is reinforced with "clues" that the Beatles left in the cover for the fans to find them.
Clues as the car in the left side of the street, the fans said that the license plate contains the age of the real Paul; there is another clue that talks about the clothes that the Beatles were wearing, as you can see Lennon was wearing white clothes that made him the priest, then Ringo with black is the friend in grief, Paul isn't wearing shoes and has closed eyes so it made him the death man and finally George that is the  gravedigger. Sounds crazy right?

Abbey Road count with 18 songs, however this album was more successful for George Harrison  thanks to songs as Here comes the sun & Something. Ringo for his part wrote Octopus's Garden that until today this song is still a hit.
The album have the song "The end", that count with 3 guitar solos, one drum solo for Ringo and the iconic quote "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make" thats how the Beatles say goodbye to the world with this unforgettable album and its songs.

Random Fact! The photo that mark a new era in the rock only took 10 minutes to take it.

Thanks!

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band & Basically a Paul's idea

The Beatles - 1967

The Beatles were on their first break since 1963, they could separated in a moment of exhaustion. On that time the bands did not have such a thing as a break, besides they decided to did no concerts anymore, so lets think this, if you were on 1966 would you believe it was the end of The Beatles?
George traveled to India for his spiritual way, Paul traveled to San Francisco and Africa, Ringo spend his time partying hard and the Lennon had a breakdown with this temporary separation, it was hard for Lennon as you can see.

But for our sake! All of them found some kind of inspiration on that break. Paul was moved for the hippie movement of the time, George was writing amazing songs with Indian influence (it sound amazing by the way), Lennon met Yoko Ono and somehow she gave him the inspiration he needed to continue and Ringo...well He was and is amazing with the drums.
They return only as recording artists, no more concerts for the people.

"We were fed up with being the Beatles. We really hated that four little mop-top boys approach. We were not boys, we were men. It was all gone, all that boy stuff, all that screaming, we didn't want any more, plus, we'd now got turned on to pot and thought of ourselves as artists rather than just performers.", that were the words of Paul McCartney when they returned to the music.

Paul said that the idea came suddenly on a plane, he thought that an alter ego of the Beatles might give to them the freedom they needed for their next album and so it happened. Sgt. Pepper lonely Hearts Club Band took out a deluxe edition a couple months ago for  it 50th anniversary and for the joy of all their fans the album reached the number one after a half-century of its release.

With 13 songs worked in five months this album show to us all the influences that each of the Beatles bring to this revolutionary album, the Indian music of George, Paul with psychedelic melodies, the orchestra and the lyrics full of LSD from Lennon made this album ahead of its era. It is the most sold and acclaimed for the media the best album ever.

Random Fact! this was the first album that printed the songs lyrics on the back.

Thanks!

The Beatles, a bunch of bad movies & Paul's grandfather

So you might heard some music from The Beatles but did you know they actually have a bunch of funny and insane movies with a lot of random stuff? Yeah! it sounds crazy right? but is a fact, they don't have only one movie! they have seven documentary movies and all of them are silly and funny for many reasons, so would you let me show to you my three favourites movies of them? well if your answer is no...just...you know close the blog.

It was 1964 and the beatlemania was on the rise, so Brian Epstein our lovely manager  decided to gave the people the first Beatles movie ever. A Hard Day's night was a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes one of the most critically acclimated pages of all times, introducing John, Paul, George, Ringo & Paul's grandfather as the main characters and the fabulous soundtrack of the album with the same name.
It was about how the Beatles were exposed to maelstrom of screaming fans, paranoid producers, rabid press and troublesome members all this mixed with the sense of humour from the Beatles made this movie a fantastic film who deserves to be seen for everyone.

Help! Was the second film about the Beatles, this time they were more mature but with the same silly sense of humour. This time the movie was about a ring that was in the possession on Ringo and that ring just attracts the unexpected attention of a religious silly cult from Egypt, forcing the band to run around all Europe ending in the  Bahamas. It also has the soundtrack from the Beatles album with the same name.

Magical Mystery Tour, the strangest thing I've ever seen in my life. This film was produced in 1967 after the success of the album Sgt Pepper Club Lonely Hearts, basically the Beatles decided to hire a psychedelic bus, go around the English country playing their music in random landscapes and in my opinion they smoked a lot of weed.
It was more a documentary than a movie, they show to us how they experiment with their music, one amazing example of this was the influence of Indian music on their songs.

They continued doing movies until the band breaks but for me this three movies were the best of the best of their films, i enjoyed them and i hope one day you might enjoy them too.

Thanks!

John, Paul, George, Ringo & Paul's dog, Martha

Quarrymen, Johnny and the Moondogs, The Beatles Silver and finally The Beatles remain as the name of this incredible British group that began their journey in 1962 and ended in 1970, but the legacy of The Beatles will be transcendent as before, due to Albums like Sgt. Pepper Lonley Hearts Club, Let It Be, Abbey Road and many songs that will live in our hearts of the Beatles forever.

Oh the early decade of 50s, Rock & Roll sweetie!  The king Elvis was perform his songs for the entirely world and thanks to his music our lovely John Lennon wants to became the best and most famous artist on Earth but for that he needed a hallucinating group to dominate the new decade that was near, so for that reason our lovely Johnny and his friend Peter form The Quarrymen that started with little shows around Liverpool,  as sign in 1957 in a show of The Quarrymen, Peter introduced Paul McCartney to Lennon on that show and it was the beginning of a new era for the music.

Months after that meeting, George Harrison appeared with only sixteen years old and extraordinary guitar skills to add some talent to the group also at the same time they incorporated a bass guitarist, Stuart whom added the hairstyle and suits for the know band as Johnny and the moondogs, then it changed to The silver Beatles; with tours around Liverpool and Hamburgo and having a new member in the group, Peter Best on the drums it was a dream come true, but this german experience end with the deportation of George for being a minor and then Paul and Peter for bad behavior, we thought John was the bad guy...

The Beatles return to Germany on 1961 with a new name and  notable losses after Peter Best quit the band, but don't worry it was the best that could happened because thanks to the quitclaim from Pete they found the irreplaceable and playful Ringo Starr, the legendary drummer in Hamburgo that was in a different band at that time until the arrived of The Beatles. He add his original rhythm to The Beatles. So at this time we had John, Paul, George, Stuart and Ringo on the The Beatles until the tragedy caught them in 1962 when Stuart pass away leaving four Beatles left playing the songs that Lennon and McCartney wrote.

After playing in several clubs they arrived to "The Cavern" where Brian Epstein discovered The Beatles and hired George Martin for record Love me do, that was succesful, on 1963 The Beatles recorded please please me, From me to you and she loves you, reaching the number one and beginning the beatlemania with I want to hold your hand in America.

Oh yeah! i almost forgot it in 1968 Paul wrote My dear Martha in honor to Martha his dog.

Thanks!
